The Central Courtyard

For Cheong Fatt Tze, the most important meal of the day was breakfast.

To him, it simply meant sustenance, rejuvenation and longevity. Here at The Courtyard, the elements of ‘feng’ (wind) meets ‘shui’ (water), creating an elegant space in the Mansion with the strongest natural energy flow. In-house guests take their morning repast in peace here.

Come noon guests on the daily tours wander in to discover the space. Courtyard seating is also open to guests of The Bar, who can enjoy their drinks and snacks at the tables fringing the centre.

On weekend evenings, the resident guzheng player takes his turn in creating an ambiance which is truly special.
